If I am not at the training studio, I normally look after my seven week old. I have been taking advantage of the time she is feeding to watch all the training seminars etc that I have been meaning to catch up with (or re-watch.) Lately I have been watching Mike Boyle’s Functional Strength Coach. It is a few years old which means some of Mike’s ideas have changed since it come out but it is an excellent seminar series that has made me re-evaluate some of my training ideas:
- Are the abs primarily meant to stop movement i.e. anti-rotators etc?
- Should you warm up before working on flexibility?
- Is it better to focus on single leg over double leg training?
- and the list goes on
